This summer, seven of our top 13-15 athletes from our provincial and national programs took place in the 2018 BC Summer Games held in Chowichan, BC. The athletes had quite the weekend competing in the 13-15 Solo, Duet, Team, and Figure categories.
Naomi Madokoro, from our national program, Emma West, and Madison Le from our provincial program represented Zone 4- Fraser Valley. Moe Zhang, Alayna Michieli, Laura Volkamer, and Eleanor Lee from our provincial program represented Zone 5- Vancouver Costal.
On our coaching end, Melinda Markser, our Masters coach, represented Zone 4 as the Head Coach, while Alina Aref'yeva, our Head Coach, represented Zone 5 as the Head Coach.
Caprice athletes came out on top at the games with four podium finishes in four total events. Naomi Madokoro won three gold medals in each of the categories she entered in- Figures, Duet, and Team while Moe Zhang won a bronze medal in the Solo category. Athletes on the Zone 5 team came fourth, respectively, against some top competition.
